What is the Integrated Design Environment ?
A software application, based on the CORE Object Model, to elaborate the Conceptual Model.
The Data Structure
The design environment uses an in-house developed data structure to describe a building model, through the eyes of an architect-designer.
Representations of the Data
The building model can be represented in several ways, both graphical and conceptual.
Design Phase & Scale Level Transitions
The building model supports the process of a design through different design phases (from concept to construction) and different scale levels (from Masterplan to Building Elements).
Evaluation Tests
These tests provide feedback during the design, to allow informed design decisions to be made as early as possible.
The Prototype
A test application, to evaluate the data structure and to test the integration of the evaluation tests.
